Outstanding food and delivery service. Standout dishes include the coconut fish, vegetable curries and biryani, as well as a great chicken tikka masala. Food always arrives hot and on time. Well done!

i could have given 2 stars because i have experienced better. i'm a sucker, don't want to bring down a mom and pop business. from the other reviews people seemed genuinely satisfied. i prefer seva.
i'm not terribly daring so i only get the chicken korma and raita. they use dark meat that can seem questionable, but it was edible. although they clearly use spices, it wasn't flavorful, neither the sauce or the raita. their korma has cashews, didn't see any.
the price is fair, $12.99 as you get a drink or dessert and one appetizer. delivery was on time, not super speedy, but what you'd expect.

I give it 3.5, really. Food was decent. I got the CTM deal. Came with a tiny cup of rice pudding. The naan's were pretty good. (I tried both the plain and the garlic.)
I had Seva's before, and their food made me sick. Though this was a smaller portion size, the food had a nice flavor, great spice, though i thought the sauce was a little on the runny side.
I would probably order from here again. I am still looking for a go to Indian place in Astoria...hope to find it soon!

This food is amazing. Always fresh and tasty. I crave the tikka masala and the mango lassi!

I order from these guys at least once a week. I love the chicken saag, chicken 65, the aloo gobi mattar, the veggie curry, the birianis... Everything, basically! Reliable, always tasty, very fast delivery, and their prices are always a buck or two less than the other Indo-Pak joints in the area. Five stars for great delivery food!!

Great food and fast service. They never disappoint and have one of the best delivery specials in the area.

Took almost an hour and 45 mins for the food to get here, but HOLY CRAP this place is realllly good

I love this place and order from them all the time. It's authentic and always delivered promptly. I'd definitely recommend this place to get a nice Indian meal. Their biryanis are my favorite.

We love this place. We've lived in the neighborhood for a year and enjoy their food about twice a month. Very consistent; really friendly staff.

Reliable taste. As authentic as authentic can get in Astoria. Seva and these guys are the only ones serving up descent Indian good in Astoria.

I order from them at least twice per week. We tried all of the Indian joints on seamless and this is by far the best! They are consistently quick and the food is always delicious! I even ate at the restaurant once and although it's tiny it was great as well. Palak paneer and biryani are my favorites.
We love Taste of Bengal!

Very Bland, didn't enjoy it at all.

Some of the worst Indian food I've ever had the displeasure of eating. I never thought I could have bad chicken tikka masala, but now I know that I can and I have. Sigh.

fast delivery, rather dull Indian food.

Great food, fast delivery. It's not the cheapest out there, but it's worth it when I'm in the mood to treat myself.

chicken tikka masala was pretty much perfect, best I've had in a while. also tried the chicken korma which was ok, not as impressive. generous portions and very sensible rice to curry ratio, I hate it when you go to restaurants and they give you way more rice than you need or even the other way around. I guess the only downside is the delivery special does not come with free nan which some places do, but they make up for it by throwing in appetizer+dessert. would still prefer the nan over samosa / spring roll but that is just a personal thing, not a big fan of fried foods. for dessert if you go with the lassi a perfect drink substitute, no need for carbonated sugar water.

I have had the lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. Both were very flavorful. I ordered mine medium spice because I wasn't sure how spicy they would be, I would suggest if you like spice to order it hot spicy. The delivery service has been fast each time with the food arriving hot and still steaming. The only item I didn't like was the naan bread which has been a bit over cooked each time causing it to be a bit hard. Over all though very happy with the food and service.

food is one of the best and affordable.

The tikka masala sauce was watery.

Chicken biryani was pretty good! The amount was plentiful. Only thing is they could have given more raita as the tiny amount does not cover the entire rice dish.

It was good but not great. I love Indian food but this seemed a little processed or something. Was missing something to make it stand out
Posted 9 months ago by fiona m.
family run restaurant and the food is truly authentic. They use the right amount of spices to bring out the real flavor of what Indian food should be. And delivery is super fast! Don't forget to order extra chicken samosas!

Very tasty. The chicken just melts in your mouth. And they don't take long to deliver. I order indian from here all the time.

Good food, fast delivery, and excellent prices. I've had most of their chicken dishes and a few vegetable ones. Just about all have been great. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Yum yum two thumbs up! Nice delivery and kitchen guys too!

Fast, Light & Accurate. On a freezing winter night, nothing hits the spot like a delivery from T.O.B. They beat the delivery estimate by 15 minutes. Perfect portions, delivery & packing. They seem to cook a little less greasy than I like, so i'm leaving off one star. Their cilantro yogurt is the punchiest, freshest i'v had. The daal puri was fluffy. The balti lamb tender, and the naan, of course super-fresh.

Great food. Fast delivery, and the delivery guy always has a smile on his face!

They cut obvious corners.
Their garlic naan is naan, which I don't believe they make there, with garlic powder sprinkled on it. No gee or minced garlic.
The saag had a higher water content than any other I have had, but otherwise tasted ok.
The goat vindaloo was a disaster. First every piece of the goat meet had a larger piece of bone attached to it. I think neck bone. The sauce was watery and did not taste like any traditional vindaloo I ever had. The sauce was not spicy at all.
All the food was edible and I don't think any of it will make you sick, so it has that going for it.
Order from Seva Indian Cuisine. You will be happy you did.

My girlfriendo and I have been ordering from here for a few months now. We've found two dishes to be our favorites, the chicken kadai and chicken curry, and both dishes are very consistent when ordered. We usually request different levels of spiciness when ordering, and they meet the requests well. Deliveries are fairly prompt; on busy nights, it takes a bit longer, but I don't mind since I enjoy the food. I look forward to ordering from here.

I ordered from this place and 40 minutes later they called me to say they couldn't deliver it. There are too many other great Indian places to choose from to bother with this place.

I ordered the chicken vindaloo and was seriously disappointed. It was barely spicy at all. At most restaurants I am sweating from the heat. I feel like they tried to Americanize it or something and ruined the dish. I picked it up and the people were friendly and it was made quickly. I probably won't be back because of the disappointing food.

Very slow delivery. I don't think they see much traffic from this app

-Quite authentic and tastes quite home-cooked and simple.
-Not greasy/heavy and what I like is that I don't feel like taking a nap after eating it! ---Portions are reasonable for the price of the dishes.
-Quick delivery time.
-the dal is divine.

Best Chicken Vindaloo!

Always order from here. Good South Asian food. Sometime they seem to give less food than other Indian places though for the same amount of money. That really stinks, and that's why the 4 star. Otherwise, food is good.

Fast delivery, great value for lunch special. Everything arrived neatly packed and our order was complete: Chicken curry lunch special (chicken a bit fatty but tasty!) and Chicken Mughlai Paratha was delicious. Will definitely order again.

Price is good, but food is mediocre and I had a bit of problem with their service. They either forget something or came late. I wouldn't recommend this place but I wouldn't totally discredit it either. Give it a try at your own risk.

Ordered food over an hour ago, and though it said 30-45 min delivery time I have yet to receive my food. Tried to call and check on the status and nobody could help me. Totally disappointed..

I was reluctant to order here because of the low price. I should have abided by my instinct. Worst Indian Food I have ever had. Almost inedible. Really disappointing.

Food was great and customer service was beyond expectations. I had a small problem and they really went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Order from here with confidence.

I have ordered from this place twice so far. Both were delivered in a timely manner, and foods were kept hot. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala Delivery Special the first time, and Chicken Saag Delivery Special today. Both were very delicious. Chicken were very tender, and tasty. Their naan bread is also delicious. So far, the best Indian restaurant so far on Seamless in Astoria area.

I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala Lunch Special with Naan. The delivery gets to my house by a clearly inebriated delivery guy. When I get into my house and open the bag the soup and chicken containers are open and spilled in the bag. The Naan and rice are soaked with soup and Masala sauce. I call them up and request a replacement.
They take an hour to deliver me just the Tikka Masala. No soup, no rice, no naan. I call them up and the woman was extremely rude, started yelling, and said that I should appreciate that they even sent me the chicken.
This kind of service is UNACCEPTABLE.

This is a really good curry! The Chicken Balti is good and flavorful, unlike 99.9% of curry houses in NYC!
It's not amazing Balti, but it's a great Curry for the Money.

I'm not normally un-adventurous enough to get the standard tikka masala, but here is a different story. One of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of it!!

Veggie spring roll is surprisingly good! Other rice dishes are nice too. Liked the way they put little salad (no dressing) as side.

LOVED this place. The Samosas, the Chicken 65 and the saag paneer were delicious. Have ordered twice this week. So so good. And my order was complete both times. I'm sorry to hear others haven't had luck with that. Give them a chance for sure.

Full disclosure, I'm Pakistani so I know what good is and so average is probably a compliment. The one thing that royally pissed me off is that they forgot the appetizer which is part of the supposed delivery deal. I saw the one review that said they forgot something and wrote it off as a mistake. Now I think they're cheap or just really incompetent.

Very decent for the price and portion size is very nice, too. Definitely will order again!
Posted a year ago by Constance J.
Pleasantly surprised! High quality and different. Ordered the Chicken 65 lunch special. Included a really tasty chicken samosa right out of the fryer. The portion wasn't huge, but I'd rather have a normal sized lunch with quality and flavor than a ton of slop, like so many South Asian places around here. Give it a chance!
